series progress

welcome to the page dedicated to my animated series, which i am hesiantly naming "star projector" for now.

star projector is a character-based sci-fi-horror story based around a cop and a cyborg criminal who are basically forced to work together to investigate some missing persons cases which are rampant in the space station city of The Conglomeration

visual wise, its going to be 3D animated. im thinking of going for a retro video game stylized look and also be using grease pencil(2d animation) for facials and things. i dont have extremely high hopes for the visuals, but they will be interesting hopefully.

im currently in the middle of the writing and design stage. i have a basic plot outline but it needs a ton of work - especially since ive added more characters and i need them all to have their own place in the story.

here im feeling out some visual ideas - just getting the visuals out of my head now

here is my current character design for Kurt, im not entierly happy, i dont think its quite there yet, and it doesnt show off his personality very well.

ive been really inspired by studio ghibli recently, here is some of the amazing background art from the art of laputa book(castle in the sky)

im pretty new to drawing perspective and backgrounds so this is kind of hard to look at, but this is a concept for the types of buildings in this world. - they are supposed to be like tiny houses but each indivvidual one is also a mini space ship, but they havent moved around in a while so they just kind of conglomerate into a neighborhood of clutter.

the designs are far from final, but here are the basic concepts.i dont want to mention too much about the series because i dont want to take up too much space, and also nothing is final right now lol. but its going to be some kind of 3D animated experimental sci fi/horror/character based story featuring these two idiots. their names are sinead, an eccentric and carefree cyborg (left) and kurt, an inexperienced but cold, calculated, determined cop (right).
